I am in my Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine fellowship at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia How did ACMC IM Residency prepare you for where you are in your career now? I felt very well prepared going into fellowship. The teaching at Christ was very good and had a lot of unique learning opportunities, especially for pulmonary and critical care. I felt like I gained a strong foundational knowledge in both fields coming out of residency. The ICU training allowed me to be very hands on when learning how to manage unstable and complicated patients. I also gained a lot of valuable procedural experience in both specialties (all sorts of lines, intubations, pleural procedures, and even bronchoscopy). I was a chief resident at Christ, which has helped me become much more well rounded as a physician and a leader. |
