Adult medicine center

Welcome to Outpatient Medicine!

We hope this page will provide you with all the comprehensive information you need to navigate through your outpatient experience smoothly.

Our state-of-the-art clinic opened in 2014. The clinic is composed of two wings, an East and West wing. Each wing has 12 patient rooms, an infusion room, a dedicated resident preceptor room, a multipurpose conference room, and assigned medical assistants (MA's) and registered nurses (RN's).

Per ACGME, each categorical internal medicine resident is required to complete at least 10 months of clinical experience in the outpatient setting. Throughout your three year residency, you will have the same half day clinic, along with the same attending preceptor. In addition, you will complete anywhere between four to eight weeks of an ambulatory rotation during your three years at ACMC.

Take some time and review the  Continuity Clinic Manual. You will find the ACGME Milestones to be completed during your ambulatory experience in residency. In addition, you will find information on ambulatory curriculum, excused absences, duties, and responsibilities.

Below, is a link to the Clinic Team Assignments. To ensure patients' concerns are addressed timely and to protect residents' vacation experience, outpatient tasks will be covered by the clinic buddy when the resident is on vacation or on ICU.
