wellness & REsident Life

Life as a Resident at ACMC

Residency can be both a stressful and memorable experience. While navigating long work hours and unexpected situations, it is vital to have a good support system in place. Our residents know the importance of a healthy work-life balance and often take time to decompress together after a hard day at the hospital. Residents consistently state their favorite aspect of life at Advocate Christ Medical Center is the general sense of happiness and camaraderie.  Although we come from a variety of locations and multicultural backgrounds, our residents quickly build a comfortable rapport and develop lifelong friendships. Some of the past activities our residents have enjoyed include team dinners, holiday parties, sporting events, nights out in the city, and even group vacations.

Chicagoland Living

Chicago has long been known as a city of many faces. The summers are full of beaches, bike rides, and outdoor festivals; while the winters are a time to enjoy the city's many museums, bars, and theatrical shows. Though an industrial town at heart, today the "Windy City" is home to world-class restaurants, dizzying shopping, and thrilling sports. Meanwhile, just a short drive away sits some of the nation's most beautiful countryside parks, farmland, and hiking trails. Our residents take full advantage of their ideal location and embrace the city around them! Please enjoy some of the amazing scenes around Chicago our residents have provided!
She is always a novelty; for she is never the Chicago you saw when you passed through the last time.
