Medical School:  Ross University School of Medicine
Career Plans:  Pulmonology/Critical Care
  • Favorite memory of residency: Does all of PGY3 year count?
  • I can't live without: Mangoes, my dog, and getting outside​
  • On my bucket list: Alaska and South America
  • Hidden Talent: Baking
  • Favorite Food: Mangoes... or tacos
  • Guilty pleasure: Law and Order SVU
  • Would pay good money: To afford the backyard my dog deserves
  • Fun fact most people don't know about me is: I'm a twin!
  • When I'm not on call, you can find me: Being active or in my kitchen

Trisha Patel, DO

Hometown: Naperville, IL
Undergraduate School: University of Illinois - Urbana Champaign 
Medical School: Midwestern University - Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine 
Career Plans: Nephrology
  • Favorite memory of residency: I had a tough stretch of nights where I cross covered and admitted many patients for 12 hours straight with awesome co-residents. I enjoyed the camaraderie and support of my team. We got through it together!
  • I can't live without: My mom/best friend (and pizza) 
  • On my bucket list: Jet skiing on Lake Michigan (and trying new pizza spots in Chicago)
  • Hidden Talent: I am surprisingly good at cooking per my husband, the biggest food critic in the house!  
  • Favorite Food: Can you guess? PIZZA, Lou Malnatis Deep Dish to be exact! Nothing is better than an extra crispy & cheesy slice after a long day at work! 
  • Guilty pleasure: Oberweis ice cream (and pizza)
  • Would pay good money: for a dream vacation (and pizza) 
  • Fun fact most people don't know about me is: I have traveled to over 30 countries prior to the pandemic. 
  • When I'm not on call, you can find me: Trying a new restaurant in Chicago 🙂 ​

  • On my bucket list: Staying in an overwater bungalow in the Maldives

  • Fun fact most people don't know about me is: Growing up I lived in Canada and the UK
  • When I'm not on call, you can find me: At home reading, playing video games or hanging out with family/friends

Career Plans: Cardiology
  • Favorite memory of residency: Hard to pick just one but probably PGY-3 night float with some awesome co-seniors and interns
  • I can't live without: My wife and my phone
  • On my bucket list: Visit Japan and have the best authentic sushi
  • Hidden Talent:  Staying calm in situations where no sane human should be calm
  • Favorite Food: Thai red curry
  • Guilty pleasure: Anything sweet. I have an enormous sweet tooth
  • Would pay good money: Top of the line tech
  • Fun fact most people don't know about me is: I've backpacked through Europe twice. Also I'm ACMC 2x defending fantasy football champion (although most people know that second part since I'll tell anyone that will listen)
  • When I'm not on call, you can find me: exploring the city with my wife
