Dr. Tai is the Director of Undergraduate Medical Education, in the Department of Medicine, at Advocate Christ Medical Center. In her role, she directs the educational activities of medical students from affiliated medical schools: University of Illinois, Rosalind Franklin University of Science/The Chicago Medical School, and the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. Prior to this role, Dr. Tai served as the Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program from 2005 until 2012. She enjoys working with learners at all levels, from the pre-clinical years to senior level residents. Dr. Tai works with residents in the Ambulatory setting several days a week, in addition to seeing patients in her own practice. She is a Fellow in the American College of Physicians and has been recognized by medical students for her contribution to their education. Prior to joining Advocate Christ Medical Center, Dr. Tai was an Associate Program Director of the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Michael Reese Hospital. She completed her medical school and residency training in Internal Medicine at the University of Chicago.

Dr. Kevin Loughry, MD

Dr. Loughry is an Associate Program Director at Advocate Christ Medical Center Internal Medicine Program and Clinical Assistant Professor at University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine. Prior to joining Advocate Christ, Dr. Loughry completed his residency, chief residency, and faculty development fellowship at the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine and Research Institute. He has received numerous awards for both patient care and teaching excellence. Dr. Loughry currently directs the evidence-based medicine curriculum. His areas of interest include graduate medical education including resident evaluations, shared decision making, and diagnostic challenges.

Melanie Gordon, MD, FACP

Dr. Melanie Gordon is the Chair of the Clinical Competency Committee for the Internal Medicine Residency Program at Advocate Christ Medical Center and Clinical Assistant Professor at University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine. Prior joining Advocate Christ, Dr. Gordon completed her residency at John H. Stroger - Cook County Hospital in Chicago, IL, where she later served as an attending physician for inpatient and outpatient medicine for 10 years. Dr Gordon serves as the Chair of the Clinical Competency Committee and her areas of interest include: evidence-based medicine in medical education, feedback-based professional development, and diversity/equality/inclusion in medicine.
